Yancheng is situated on the northern bank of the Yangtze River and has a warm subtropical climate under the influence of East Asia Monsoon. Being a small city, the aim was to create an international style area for people to recreate with large open spaces, restaurants, shops, bath houses and cinema. There are over 25 individual buildings all under 15 meters (except the tower) located along an artificial waterway The area has become a major tourist attraction in the city and a place for photo-ops for weddings and graduations.
